On molecular orientability on a fine porous surface

چکیده
2014 The refraction of a porous structure with adsorbed molecules was investigated. Effects based on adsorbate molecule orientability relative to the whole porous sample were evidenced including quantitative estimates of the adsorbate molecule amount in pores. In a resonance electromagnetic field, sharp changes in the permeability of a fine-pored sample were observed corresponding to a variation in the incident laser intensity. Finally, a theory of the orientational action of the radiation field was developed, which accounts for the adsorption potential increase not only by the interaction of field polarized molecules with those on the surface, but also by the interaction of the induced molecular dipole with its reflection in the wall material. Wettability of Liquid Mixtures on Porous Silica and Black Soot Layers
Sophisticated manipulation of surface roughness and solid surface energy are widely used to design super-hydrophobic layers. In this work, we designed highly porous silica layer with contact angle (CA) of 145°, and its robustness was promoted with thermal treatment. Wettability of coated layer is studied with CA measurement for different liquid surface tensions using diluted organi...

In recent years, due to the overpopulation, serious water shortages, and need to consume more water, the use of wastewater treatment plant has attracted lots of attention. When the pollution load is not high, biofilm reactors are commonly used for the purpose. In this study, the porous concrete as a bed biofilm in reducing pollution load of wastewater was investigated. In order to evaluate poro...

متن کاملCapillary Effects on Surface Enhancement in a Non-Homogeneous Fibrous Porous Medium
The evaluation of a free fluid surface in a porous medium has several mathematical applications that are important in industries using molds, particularly in the fluid injection process. The vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) process is a promising technology in the primary composite industry. An accurate computational simulation of the VARTM process would be a cost-effective tool i...
